Cream Tapioca Pudding

Soak 3 tablespoons of Tapioca in water overnight:  put it into a qt. of boiling milk, and boil half an hour; beat the yolks of 4 eggs with a cup of sugar; add 3 tablespoons of prepared cocoanut; stir in & boil 10 minutes longer; pour into a pudding dish; beat the whites of 4 eggs to a stiff froth, stir in 3 tablespoons of sugar; put this over the top & sprinkle cocoanut over the top & brown for 5 minutes.
 

Note:  Please remember that these are old recipes. The measurements they used may not have been the same as we use today!
