His name is a bit hard to read on the marriage license information, and might be Moller. On the return of the marriage license, his name appears to be Mollen. It is likewise hard to read the name of the officient, but it appears to be E. Estony C.M.

The marriage was performed by the parish priest of San Antonio de Bexar by M. Calvo (if I read it correctly). It was recorded in Book B of Marriage Licenses, pages 101-102.

She and Robert had ten children.

There are several land sales involving the Calderon name after the death of Robert Grier. Could there be a familial relationship? More research needed. Some land sales after Robert's death also mention that she was living in Karnes, purchasing land in San Antonio.

She bought land 24 Nov 1852 under the name of Refugia Losoya y Menchaca. This would document the surname of her father as Losoya, and her mother's name as Menchaca. However, there is a question as to why she would purchase land in her maiden name in 1852, when she married Robert Grier in 1850. (Book K2, p. 495, filed 24 Nov 1852, instrument date, 24 Dec 1852, Bexar County Government website) This may be simply a Spanish surname usage situation. There are some who believe that she was the illegitimate daughter of Toribio Losoya, a hero of the Alamo. More research needed to document this.

On some of her children's death certificates her surname was Losoya, and on at least one of them she was listed as Manchaca.
