In the World War I draft registration he was Chris Vincent Kemendo, residing at 606 S. 8th, Waco, Texas. He was born 5 Feb 1889, in Waco, Texas. His occupation was wholesale grocer for the V. Kemendo Co., So. 3rd St., Waco, Texas. He was single, and claimed exemption on the basis of his father's poor health. He was short, and of medium build. It was dated 5 Jun 1917.

There is also another World War I Draft Registration, filled out the same month, for a Chris Kemendo aged 28, living in Temple, Bell, Texas. He also worked for the V. Kemendo Co., but he worked as a produce clerk. He was born 14 Sep 1888 in Waco, Texas. He has a father and child listed as a dependant. He was a widower. In the 1900 Census, Chris was listed as born in Feb 1888. On that basis, I have ruled out this particular Chris, although he could quite likely be a member of the extended family.
