Juanita Turner
July 17, 1929 - July 11, 2008

Juanita Turner of Waco passed away Friday, July 11, 2008. Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, July 14, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel with the Rev. Linda Wimberley officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Sunday, July 13, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey.

Juanita was born July 17, 1929 in Waco to Edgar Irvin and Agnes Mae Skinner. She graduated from La Vega High School in 1946. She worked part-time for the WISD Food Services and was a Sunday school teacher for many years. She was a dedicated homemaker and caregiver; a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. Juanita has been a longtime member of Lake Shore United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 53 years, Isaac Boyd Turner; two brothers and one sister. She is survived by two daughters, Nita Winget and husband, David of Waco; Nancy David and husband, Roy of Spring, TX; two sons, Ronald Turner and wife, Denise of Clifton; and Wayne Turner and wife, Mona of McGregor; 13 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren; one brother, Bob Skinner of Houston; and many nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons.

Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society or Lake Shore United Methodist Church. The family sincerely thanks her doctors, the 7th Floor Nursing Staff at Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center and Hillcrest Hospice for their loving care and support.

Mrs. Agnes Mae Skinner, 84 of Waco, died at 10:15 p. m. Friday at a local nursing home.
Funeral services will be 2:30 p.m. Monday at Wilkirson-Hatch Chapel, Minister Max T. Neel officiating, burial in White Rock Cemetery.
Survivors: two daughters, Mrs. I. B. (Juanita) Turner and Mrs. Margaret Wilson, both of Waco; two sons, Ed Skinner of Dallas and Robert L. (Bob) Skinner of Houston; one sister, Mrs. Mildred Herring of Balinger, Texas, one brother, Charles Scales of Waco, eleven grandchildren, twenty-four great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers: Grandsons.
The family will be at 3728 N. 22nd.

Mrs. Agnes Skinner
Mrs. Agnes Skinner, 84, of Waco died Friday at a local nursing home.

Mrs. Skinner born in Sweetwater, and lived most of her life in Waco. She was married to Edgar Irvin Skinner Sr., who died in 1951. She was a member of Crestview Church of Christ.
Survivors include two sons, Ed Skinner of Dallas and Robert L. (Bob) Skinner of Houston; two daughters, Juanita Turner and Margaret Wilson, both of Waco; a brother, Charles Scales of Waco; a sister Mildred Herring of Ballinger; 11 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.
The family will be at 3728 North Twenty-second.

In a letter to Lenore Alexander Williams she wrote that she had the big Bible that was her Grandmother's and Mothers'. She was the oldest so she got it. It has all the deaths and births in it. She told Lenore Williams that if she wanted to see it, she would have to come to see her. She also mentioned Ross Cemetery. She said that it is where Irvin was buried and she would be buried there. She said that her mother was born in Mexia. She said that she would be buried in Ross Cemetery. Her obituary says she was buried in White Rock Cemetery. White Rock Cemetery is in Ross, TX.
