A. Shanks, to Mr. D. M. Compton of Valley Mills.The cerenomp [sic] was performed by Rev. F. B. Thorne, and for several reasons the young couple preferred that the wedding be not announced until after they secured schools that they might teach this fall and winter. They are justly proud of each other, and manp [sic] of their friends will be surprised to know that they are married. They have the best wishes of a large circle of friends in their home towns.They departed from Mart Thursday for their schools.--- Mrs. Compton going to Waco to teach in the Methodist Orpahn's Home, and Mr. Compton to Eden, Texas to teach in the public school in that place.
