From the Andalusia, AL paper (1960 or 61?): "Mrs. Bessie Elizabeth Gregory, 70 died Tuesday. Funeral services will be at 2:30 PM Wednesday from Cool Springs Primitive Baptist Church. Burial in church cemetery. Survivors include a brother, William Felix Mothershead, Andalusia, and 2 step-sons of Greeneville."

She appears to be Mattie E., born May 1890 in Alabama who appears on the 1900 census in her parents' household (1900, 2-PCT, CRENSHAW, ALABAMA, Series: T623 Roll: 11 Page: 32A). More research is needed.

The Cool Springs Cemetery listing shows her as the wife of Foster D DUNCAN. This appears to be a previous marriage for her. He is buried at Cool Springs Cemetery where she is buried.
