He may well be the L. Crowell, age 19 in the household of Jacob Crowel, 60 Laborer, born in SC; E. f, born SC; children C. f, L. 19 m (this Levi?), M. f, born in GA. They are next door to Theo B. (CEMcD notes p. 71, 1860 census). Levi & Emma J. his wife sold to M. J. Crowell (Zach Daniel, notarized). M. J. also bought from Theo J. & Martha Ann (1851), Alex. & Mary McCartha (1859) see description on p. 99 with the other transactions. Levi & Emma J. are both 30 in the 1870 census.
