She is listed with her family in Holmes Co., MS in 1850 Census. She had attended school in the previous year. She was 20 in the 1860 census, and she had attended school during the previous year. To get to the cemetery you go from the intersection of US HWY 51 and Mulberry St. (becomes Castalian Springs St.), go 3.5 miles to cross roads (Castalian Springs is at 3.0 miles). Turn left and go .4 miles to unmarked gravel road to the left. Turn left and go .15 miles to cemetery. There are two men named Stevens nearby. One is Lt. Thomas, Co F MISS INF CSA, and the other is J. W. b. May 8, 1843 d. Feb 23, 1882. She married Lt. Thomas. Was J. W. related?
