She was from Marshall Co., MS. She and her husband moved to Ellis Co., TX. At the time they moved to Texas, her brother was already in Ellis Co. with his in-laws, the Hoggs, also from Marshall Co. They lived in Briscoe Co. (Silverton area). Later they lived in Pocahontas, AR with their daughter Sarah and Edgar Ellis.
OBIT -- MARY CINORAH SULLIVAN MORGAN -- 23 January 1924, Pocahontas Arkansas
Mrs. Mollie Morgan, aged 77 years, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. E. N. Ellis, here Wednesday morning at seven o'clock after a wasting illness with paralysis. The funeral will be held this (Thursday) morning at ten o'clock at the Ellis home under the direction of Rev. Mr. McEwen, pastor of the Baptist church. Interment in the Masonic Cemetery at the side of her husband.
Mrs. Morgan was a native of Mississippi, having moved here a few years ago with her husband to make their home with their daughter. Mr. Morgan preceded his wife to eternity about a year ago. Mrs. Morgan has been a member of the Baptist Church for many years, and was known here as an upright Christian woman. She leaves two daughters, Mrs. Ellis, and Mrs. Tosh of Italy, Texas.
