See p. 94, CEMcD notes, "S. A. R. Pollard's son Marion (and Kate his wife) buried their small child there in 1897 (Theo Daniel Cem). TSD III's notes add: "Theop Cem called Stallings Cem because Robt Stallings lived where Boyken Sexton now lives." Per Boyken Sexton: "A negro slave was buried in the corner of the Theop. Cem. ... Rufus Thaggard took care of the Cem." The marriage is recorded to Katie Pollard & M. T. Pollard. |
