Annie's mother took Annie and her children in and raised the children with the same love and respect that she gave her own children. There was a marriage license issued 12 Jun 1915 for Rufus Shreve and Annie Thomas. It was apparently returned as executed, (Crenshaw Co, AL). The children went by the name Thomas. In 1920 she and the two oldest children were living with her mother. She is listed as a widow, and the two youngest children were not born yet. More research needed. Census:
