They were married by Jno. F. Walker, Judge of Probate. She was Mrs. Annie Glass, so she had been previously married, and this was not her maiden name. They were married at the home of the bride.

Shared note

Enlisted March 24, 1862 by Capt. Glasgow at Greenville, Al, taken prisoner while wounded and lying in hospital at Richmond, VA, transferred to City Point VA on Apr. 3, 1865, released June 10, 1865 upon Oath of Allegiance. He was wounded on 16 May 1863 at Drury Bluff, Virginia. At that time he was shot through the neck and shoulder. This information was in a statement he made in a pesion application in 1898. He was discharged from service 12 Jul 1865 from prison. The county board appears to have approved the pension in 1904 due to feebleness due to his old age, wounds, neuralgia, rheumatism, and general debility. (Note: Ancestry.com com says the application date was 8 Jul 1904, but the papers I viewed appear to have been filed in the 1890's.)

Selling land to A. J. Pollard (1881, Book 11-272). No dates on grave ("Eva thinks his wife NOT buried here"). J. H. and J. J. H. notes are very hard to sort out. John H. to Sarah E. Thomas Book 3-168 (p. 102) 9-31-186_ at res Miss Sarah Thomas by Eld _ Boyer, M. G.

His obituary says he died at the home of his son W. T. Daniel. For two years he had been in feeble health. I mentions that he left a daughter and three sons. The children were not named. No widow was mentioned.(Greenville Advocate)

NOTE:This family lived next door to Pierceson T. Daniel, and Pierceson lived next to G. T. Daniel, it is probably the correct family. John H. Daniel divorced Sarah in 1897, and he married Annie Glass in 1899. The Luverne Journal says a divorce was granted to John H. Daniel vs. Sarah C. Daniel, January 1897 (Chancery Court).
