They were living in Lee Co, GA in 1840, with their two oldest children.
By 1850 they had moved to Coosa Co, AL & in 1860 were located in Lowndes Co.
By 1870 they were in the "Rogers community" on land just south of Sect 2,
Ts 10, R 17 in Crenshaw Co. Michael was listed as a wheelwright in the census
and was, according to his children, an accomplished woodworker. A bread board
of his has come down in the family and is now in the possession of Mrs. Richard Knittle of Midland, TX. Hewn from a single piece of wood, it is a shallow
bowl measuring some 18 inches long by 14 inches wide.

Michael moved to TX, with his children about 1878 and died at the home of his
son, John William Stough, in Ellis Co, TX in 1892. Mary Eagle died in 1915,
prob in Scurry Co, TX, where she was visiting her grandson William Wheeler
Rogers. Their burial places are unknown.

South, by Richard Huffman, PO Box 10, Whitney, PA, 15693, and has written to
obtain a copy, in order to verify information previously received on this
family.
