"By Moses Daniel: My father Thomas F. Daniel, son of Wm. J. Daniel, had a 24-inch undershot water mill from which he ran a grist mill, a saw mill, a cotton gin, and a syrup mill. The grist mill had 54-inch rocks. The syrup mill used 60-gallon kettles. (CEMcD notes, p. 95)

MFDR ltr 14 Oct 64: (She and Maude had been at the Missionary Baptist's Association or Business meeting at Union Church Honoraville) "I saw Mode who was with you here at our home. I was not close to him to speak...." MFDR, 3 Nov 1965 to CEMcD: "I have not seen Mode he moved to Greenville rented an Apt in one of the projects. I did see him in April soon after he had celebrated his 75th birthday."
