She filed for divorce alleging that he began a course of cruel treatment toward her which continued until on or about October 1st, 1941, at which time they separated, further living with him being insupportable. It said they had been married on or about March 15th, 1938. He waved his rights to appear on 5 Sep 1942. The divorce was granted 26th Oct 1942. Milton's signature on this document appears to probably be the same as that on his military draft registration card, thus, we believe this to be the correct divorce record.

She was born in TX, her father was born in Ireland, and her mother was born in TX. Milton was born Jun 1894, born in TX. They were borders with L. B. The Nueces County, Texas website shows a marriage to NICOLINA M ALLESANDRO (document number 1939017098) and MARY LOU HARDEE (document number 1946036149). His obituary is in the Houston Chronicle on Tuesday, 12 November 1957: James, Milton Burton, 63, 5616 San Jacinto, died in his residence at 3:30 p.m. Monday.
