EDNA MCGAHA

HOUSTON, Texas - Services for Edna Avis Tipton McGaha, 91, Houston, formerly of
Ada, Okla., are 10 a.m. Monday at Criswell Funeral Chapel, Dr. Robert Escamilla
officiating. Burial follows at Rosedale Cemetery. The family will receive
friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. tonight at Criswell Funeral Home.

Mrs. McGaha died Nov. 6, 2002, at a Houston nursing facility. She was born Dec.
31, 1910, at Ada to Charles Ross and Avis Gainey Tipton. She graduated from Ada
High School in 1929. She later obtained a bachelors degree of arts from East
Central University in 1933.

She married G.W. "Sandy" McGaha on June 23, 1940. He died Dec. 30, 2002, at
Houston.

Mrs. McGaha taught at various schools including Olney, Spaulding and Mill
Creek. She was an active participant in the PTA, was a Cub Scouts Den Mother
and a member of the Boy Scout Mother's Club while living in Tulsa. She later
relocated to New Orleans, La., and Houston where she was an active member of
bowling leagues, garden clubs and the AIME Petroleum Engineers Wive's
Auxiliary.

Survivors include a son, Charles McGaha; and two
grandchildren.
