Quality of data: primary evidence Text: Juanita Turner Juanita Turner of Waco passed away Friday, July 11, 2008. Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, July 14, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel with the Rev. Linda Wimberley officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Sunday, July 13, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey. Juanita was born July 17, 1929 in Waco to Edgar Irvin and Agnes Mae Skinner. She graduated from La Vega High School in 1946. She worked part-time for the WISD Food Services and was a Sunday school teacher for many years. She was a dedicated homemaker and caregiver; a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. Juanita has been a longtime member of Lake Shore United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 53 years, Isaac Boyd Turner; two brothers and one sister. She is survived by two daughters, Nita Winget and husband, David of Waco; Nancy David and husband, Roy of Spring, TX; two sons, Ronald Turner and wife, Denise of Clifton; and Wayne Turner and wife, Mona of McGregor; 13 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren; one brother, Bob Skinner of Houston; and many nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be her grandsons. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society or Lake Shore United Methodist Church. The family sincerely thanks her doctors, the 7th Floor Nursing Staff at Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center and Hillcrest Hospice for their loving care and support. |
