Robert Henry Stokes, 80, of Kirbyville died Thursday, June 22, 1994 at Baptist Hospital in Beaumont. Funeral was Saturday, June 24 at Smith Funeral Home in Newton with burial at Trout Creek Cemetery. A native of Crowley, Louisiana, he lived in Kirbyville 35 years and was a retired pipe fitter for Local 195. He also was a World War II U.S. Army Air Corps veteran. Survivors include sons, Robert Thomas Stokes of Kountze and Rickey Lee Stokes of Kirbyville; Stepsons, Dean Jones and Denman Ray Jones, both of Kirbyville; daughter, Darlene Renee Sumrall of Village Mills; stepdaughter, Bobbie Jo Wilkinson of Kirbyville; brother, Joseph Henry Stokes of Groves; half-brother, Gardner Clark of Bridge City; and sister, Evelyn Stokes Raper of Dry Creek, Louisiana.
