Shared note
She died in a car wreck 37.4 miles west of Hobbs, New Mexico. |
Shared note
|
(Medical):She and her sister Pauline were on their way to visit their sister Ody's family when their Chevrolet car skidded on the ice 37.4 miles west of Hobbs, NM and turned across the road. Charles Wood, who was driving a Chevrolet pickup truck tried to avoid hitting them, but the slick surface prevented him from avoiding them. He hit their car broadside. Pauline Puckett Fowler (the driver) of El Paso and Minerva Puckett Montgomery of Albuququerque were pronounced dead at the scene. Ody was so ill that she was in a rest home in Denver City, and the family decided that she would never be told of her sisters' deaths.
