Their marriage was in Erath Co., TX, Book B-a46, by T. N. Buchannon, Elder. In 1880, he and Catherine were living with his father in Erath Co, TX. (Census Erath Co., TX, T9-1302, Page 6, Enum. Dist. 151, Family 48) In the 1900 census, his children's information says he was born in Florida. Since his wife had been married to her second husband for a year, it is assumed Lafayette died before 1899.
