Shared note

A note in the family Bible says that she was baptized into the Baptist Church at Polytechnic by Dr. J. Frank Sherman, pastor, March 19, 1922. She was a trained pianist who attended Texas Wesleyan College majoring in music. She had a teaching certificate. She also attended the Conservatory of Music in Fort Worth and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth. Throughout most of her life she played the piano in her church. She met her husband in an old folks home where he led the singing and she played the piano for the residents. James Frank Williams liked to say that they met in the poor house.
