Something that needs to be verified: In the 1880 census, her son William Joseph says that his mother was born in Florida. Perhaps a search for her parents would turn up more information. There are several mentions in the research of Chester McDonald of Florida connections. Did Francis Marion find a wife on one of the trips to bring back salt? Although Delaney and Francis Marion's family is not the main thrust of CEMcD research, there are many clues and references to their probable descendants throughout. |
