He enlisted at Luka, MS, in Capt. Thomas F. Pettus' Company, captured at Ft. Donelson TN, and imprisoned at Camp Douglas, IL; released 28 Sep 1862 at Vicksburg, MS in exchange of prisoners. Thereafter joined Company G, 28 MS Cavalry, to the end of war. He was carried on the rolls as Columbus, Columbus C., Chris. C. & C.C. Pharoah For further information on descendants contact Geneal H.
