Her grave stone calls her "w. Capt Daniel." Not all information on her birth agrees: 21 & 31 Aug, and 31 Oct. (Grave stone dates shown here.) The Nye FGS cited Crawford Co. Probate, Cem. Recs.; Census records, Randolph Co History, & Terrell Co. History. Memoirs of LA (?) and her Exie Perkins file on Hortmans. Hartman changed to Hortman in 1817. Her Obit is in the file: "Mrs. York is her only surviving child, but throughout this section she had scores ... of descendants." |
