She was 28 years old when daughter Mamie was born. Had she been married before? 1910 she changes John Bostwick Daniel back to "born in AL", and she has her "own income"...did she win the lawsuit with the insurance co. re her husband's death??

It appearing to the County Court of McLennan County, Texas, that John B. Daniel, by Policy No. 3283 of the American Benevolent Legion, an Insurance Company of Dallas, Texas, dated on the 8th day of July, 1897, insured his life in the American Benevolent Legion for the sum of $3000.00 in favor of his estate and by Policy no. 387344, insured his life in the Sun Life Insurance Company of America of Louisville, Kentucky for $500.00 payable to his executors, administrators or assignors and it appearing that John B. Daniel died intestate in McLennan County, Texas, on the 24th day of July, 1897, leaving Ora Daniel, his widow, and two children, namely Mamie Lillian Daniel, a female of the age of 7 years. All residing in McLennan County, Texas.

Texas State Death Certificate:
She was Mrs. Ora Daniel, born 24 May 1863 in Comanche County, Texas to Thomas Marvel Logan, born in North Carolina, and Mary Bunson, born in Louisiana. She died 5 Apr, 1940 at 1925 Maple St., Waco, McLenan, Texas. She died suddenly before the doctor arriaved. The primary cause of death was "Angina Pectoris? She was seized with severe pains in cardiac region shortly before 7am. & was dead when I reached her home about 718 AM." Her son Claude Daniel, residing at 1925 Maple St., Waco (apparently residing with his mother), was the informant. She was aged 76 years, 10 months, 11 days.Paul C. Murphey was the doctor who signed the death certificate. She was buried in Oakwood Cemetery, Waco, on 7 Apr 1940.
