James Goodson of Darlington District conveyed a gift deed of about 250 acres of land to his son Ezekiel Goodson. This land was located along Swift Creek in the fork of the Robinson branch. This deed was signed by James Goodson's mark. Joseph E. Rhodes and James Hoole witnessed it (Darlington District Deed Book H. PP. 263-264, photocopied from microfilm by Chris Outlaw--quoted in reference found on Internet Nov. 15, 1997). |
