Shared note
|
He was not listed in 1870, and was 9 in 1880. A 1980 note of Mary Pirie: Ruth has a carved hand done by James and I believe a dough tray. My mother's sister in Headland has a hand also. ... There is a Dan Brock in Miami, an executive of National Airlines, but can't remember which of Olivia's sons he is descended from. ... Understand that Ruth and Frances and their children are all smart as can be .... If I remember correctly their father was the conductor in the train that ran from Montgomery to south of Andalusia. I can remember as a child seeing him when we would go from Mother's sister, Stella, in Headland, to Montgomery to visit my Father's people, and then we'd go down by train to see Mother's father, John Cooper. They lived in Greenville - the Brocks, I mean. |
