Broyce's note: "Dr. Quillan is probably buried at Cool Spring PBC Cem. beside his first wife, Sarah A. (Bozeman). "In Jan 1862, Dr. Quillan joined company I, 1st Ala Cav. (Clanton's) ... fighting at Shiloh ... on Jun 7, 1862, at Saltillo , MS he was discharged on account of ill health. ... Member of Camp Creek Lodge No. 251, F & A M." With more Quillian history from "The Memorial Record of Alabama" 1893... by Brant and Fuller.

Husband enlisted 2/1/1862, Calvary, Private Co I, 1st Ala Calv. Vol. Length of active service 6 mos. Discharged on acct of Physical disability. Date of marriage 12/11/1881. Value of (her) property $1250.00, Annual income $50.00, no living children."
"Widow's blank for reclassification 11/24/1920: Now living with Mrs. J. W. Fike, Born Sandy Ridge, Lowndes Co., AL 8-30-1841. Father - James Daniel died 9/10/1900 Ft. Deposit, AL. Name of husband - Dr. T. L. Quillian married 12/1/1882. Ft Deposit, AL. Husband died 9/14/1908 Ft Deposit, AL. (She) was not married more than once."
