Shared note
|
"Another family of early settlers in this community was the Dockins. It was to their daughter that Abel turned for matrimonial companionship.... they had six sons and six daughters. They lived their entire married lives at one place - in the hewn-log house that Abel built when they married. The Abel Daniel Cemetery is on a small ridge about 50 yards east of the Old Hellieon Road & several hundred feet north of Pastiliga Creek. This land is lying in Sec #4, Township 10 N, Range 17 East." She is on the 1850 census for Butler Co., AL, listed as 34 years of age, and born in AL (James Daniel, information obtained on-line at Ancestry.com). |
