Shared note
Find a Grave has a listing for H. H. Morgan which it indicates is actually Mangrum H. Morgan. It cites a newspaper obituary in the Ennis Weekly Local for 19 Oct 1901 for H. H. Morgan. It says he was the son-in-law of A. C. Atwood of that city. It also said he died of appendicitis. The article says he was buired at Hines Chapel. The listing is for Crisp Cemetery which was an earlier name for the same place. If this is the correct person, the original date for his death is incorrect. There is an Abner Morgan family apparently next to them, but it is not distinguished that way in the census. Abner was 43, and possibly a brother of William. 1900, 3-PCT, ELLIS, TEXAS, (supervisor's district 6, enum. dist. 20, sheet 6A) Series: T623 Roll: 1629 Page: 204A dwelling 90, household 93 (A. Attwood (67) and wife Catherine (62) also live in the same dwelling apparently, household number 92) Morgan, M. H. There are Doty Cem. records online there. This leads me to believe that there may have been connections with the Mangrum family of Attala Co., MS.
