Obituary: Mrs. J. H. Butler Rites Thursday Mrs. J. H. Butler, 77, native of Alabama and a pioneer resident of Ennis, was found dead in bed at her home, 510 West Tyler Street, Wednesday morning. Death was attributed to a heart attack. Mrs. Butler, formerly, Zora Dorothy Rogers, was born Sept. 14, 1873 in Montgomery, Ala. She came to Texas with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Rogers, when she was a child. The family settled in Chatfield where her parents died years ago. She was married in Chatfield July 26, 1893 to J. H. Butler. After their marriage Mr. and Mrs. Butler lived in Chatfield and Rice until they moved to Ennis in 1915. Mr. Butler died here Sept. 2, 1932. J. A. Lindle of San Angelo; Mrs. William Stubbs of Victoria, and Mrs. T. J. Farrar of Ennis; one son, Claude Butler of Dallas; 11 grandchildren and 5 great grand-daughters; also a brother, J. O. Rogers of Corsicana, survives. Mrs. Butler had been a member of the First Methodist Church since early childhood. She was member of the Dorcas Sunday School Class of the First Methodist Church. Funeral services are to be held at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon in the Keever chapel with the Rev. Jackson C. Oglesby, pastor of the First Methodist Church officiating. Interment will be made in the Chatfield Cemetery.
