She died of cardiac arrest secondary to hypovolemia and peripheral vascular collapse lasting three hours due to malignant lymphoma, lymphocytic type, involving the pancreas, stomach, kidneys, and lungs. Another significant condition that contributed to but was not related to the terminal illness was malignant endometrial polyp of the uterus; bronchogentic carcinoid tumor. An autopsy was performed. Removal was 9 May 1976 with burial in Mexia City Cemetery, Mexia, Texas. The funeral director was Corley Funeral Home.
