In his obituary, he was survived by two daughters, Mrs. Boykin Etheredge and Mrs. E. A. Cook, residents of Dallas. He also had three grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. Three brothers survived him. They were Albert of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Sam of Los Angeles, and G. W. of Ennis. He had three surviving sisters. They were Mrs. J. J. Moore and Mrs. Fannie Hale of Mexia, and Mrs. L. Farris of Lometa.
