Shared note

A flat marker is next to Leonard Daniel's larger gravestone. It says Louisea C. Daniel/1820-1870. There is a small children's Bible storybook, "The Bible in Miniature, for Children," dated 1835. Inside it is written "Diademia Elizabeth Daniel Daughter of L. & E. L. Daniel was born Dec. 28th A.D. 1838." For this reason, I believe Leonard Daniel 's wife was named Elizabeth Louisea. Broyce says that there are other children of Joshua Barrett intermarried with the Theo Daniel family. Joshua's sister Sarah Barrett was the mother of Sarah Kerley Wells and John Jackson Kerley. See Butler Co., Greenville, AL, Deed Book B-265-26 6 (CEMcD p. 102.1) where she is called Louisa Barrett & Lucinda Barrett in the same deed 4-20-1850. Sold to (which?) Thomas Daniel. |
