Balfour DePriest: "An old Daniel log house site is behind the house across the road from the Morris Massey store. NR, Sr. gave Litt McKenzie the old house place to take care of his wife Temperance in her old age." N. R. was a J. P., guardian, administrator & executor of wills, etc.

Apparently he was the first postmaster of Honoraville when it was first established as Camp Creek in June 15, 1855. Following that time it was established and discontinued at various times, carrying the name of Honoraville and Nicholsville at various times of its existence.
