He was a twin. He and his wife became guardians for Betty Goode and her sister Mary after their parents died. Their brother Thomas Goode was reared by the Oliver family. Obituary from the Tuscaloosa News on-line (tuscaloosanews.com, e-mailed by Betty Hannah, 15 Jan 2004, 8:51 AM) Survivors include wife, Ruth Conway; daughters, Betty Hannah; Mary (Dean) Estes; Joann (Bennie) Thompson; Evelyn (James) Hicks; sons, Mark (Lisa) Conway; Malcolm Conway; brothers, Lomax Conway; Thomas Conway; Haurice Conway; sisters, Mildred Durden; Frances Gammons; 14 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren. Mr. Conway helped establish the Linden Church of Christ, where he served as an elder and minister. He worked for many years with Alabama Power Company and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. Pallbearers will be Russell Hannah, Robert Hannah, Marshall McDowel, Jason Hicks, Jeremy Edge and Joel Nobles. In lieu of flowers make donations to the Bible Department at Faulkner University in Montgomery, Alabama.
