Natchez Trace ParkwayCemetery Located Near Old Trace Exhibit ShelterWe found this small cemetery while traveling along the Natchez Trace Parkway. It was located at the southern end about 12 miles north of Natchez, MS, near the Old Trace Exhibit Shelter. Most of the cemetery was enclosed by a fence. Outside the Fence Three graves were located outside of the fence.
There was another grave, a crumbled brick vault with no identification which was also outside the fence. Inside the Fence Most of the graves were inside a fence. The majority of these stones began with the words "Sacred to the Memory of..." Gerard G. son of Gerard & Charlotte S. Brandon, he was born August 20th 1849, died March 31st 1854. A flower nipt in the bud. Anna, Daughter of Gerard & Charlotte S. Brandon, who was born April 20th 1853 Died March 28th 1854 Charlotte B. Peirce Born Nov. 14, 1847 Died on Good
Friday Apr. 3, 1885 There is a large vault which says: Sacred to the memory of Philip Brandon Sarah M. Daughter of S. & G. s. Brandon Born June 29, 1851 Died Dec. 13th, 1862 Agnes S. Daughter of S. & G. S. Brandon Born June 29, 1856 Died Jan 19, 1862 Margaret S. Daughter of Gerald & Charlotte S. Brandon Born March 19th 1843 Died (the stone is broken here so the death date is somewhat in question) Mar 3rd 1844 (?) Alice Daughter of G. & C. S.
